Russian military strikes Ukraine’s defense industry – MOD

The attacks targeted facilities in Kiev and a part of Ukraine-controlled Zaporozhye Region, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has said.

In a statement on Tuesday, the ministry said that the group strike involving high-precision air-, land-, and sea-based weapons, as well as drones, targeted military-industrial facilities in Kiev Region and the Ukrainian-controlled part of Zaporozhye Region.

“The goal of the strikes has been accomplished. All designated targets have been hit,” officials said.

Currently and I stress currently, Israel does not have air superiority over Iran, as they proclaim. They have superiority in smaller terrorist attacks through prepositioned small terror squads. Iran however is sweeping this up with no emotion. Israel is not accustomed to fighting an enemy that shoots back. Emotionally the Israelis are in deep travail and there is no rest between running to shelters and trying to live while Iran decimates living areas. There will be damage. At present Israel (even in their local channels) are begging the US to step in. The US is sending at the last count over two dozen additional refueling tankers to the war zone.

Israel and the US have no winning move to make. (I again stress, currently!) They had a Plan A, a shock and awe rerun. It fell apart. It is going to be hard for Iran, but harder for the US and Israel. The strike from Israel on Iran is already being referred to as a strike on China. Will we see Chinese warplanes in Iran? I do not want to frontrun anything but this has all that is needed for a World War.

Russia is continuing apace in its SMO. Last night, the Russian Armed Forces launched a massed high-precision strike by long-range air- and sea-based weapons and strike unmanned aerial vehicles at an oil refinery in Kremenchug (Poltava region), which supplies fuel to the AFU detachments in Donbas.

Something that fell by the wayside with the war that started in the past few days. There was a trade/tariff negotiation between the US and China.

Today, MOFCOM Spokesperson He Yadong said simply:

-China reviews export license applications for rare earth-related items in accordance with laws and regulations;

-China has already approved a certain number of compliant applications, and will continue to strengthen the approval process for compliant applications.

Seemingly a game of Chinese Whispers has had Trump seeing a completely different reality but then we were reminded in the past few days of how he spins.  At the time of the talks, he was talking about ‘full magnets’ and all kinds of blathering.  The Chinese media (at the time, not extensively) speculated that those ‘compliant’ applications were solely for non-military and non-duel purposes, and that is why they capped it at six months before review.

Every single media right across the world is still giving the Israel / Iran war above the fold attention.   SCO published a commentary which is unprecedented for them to involve themselves in a subject like this.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), has sharply criticised Israel’s military offensive on Iran, raising alarm over the growing instability in the Middle East.  In a statement issued by the group, the SCO said Israeli air raids targeted civilian and nuclear infrastructure, resulting in civilian casualties.

“This seriously violated the principles of international law and the U.N. Charter, undermined Iran’s sovereignty, undermined regional and international security, and had a serious impact on global peace and stability,” the SCO warned.

The group said it “strongly condemns” the strikes and called for restraint to prevent further escalation.

India disassociated itself calling on their independent stance.  NEW DELHI: India on Saturday distanced itself from a statement issued by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) condemning recent Israeli strikes on Iran, clarifying that it did not participate in the discussions that led to the group’s remarks. In a statement, the ministry of external affairs (MEA) said, “The Shanghai Cooperation Organization has issued a statement on recent developments between Israel and Iran. India did not participate in the discussions on the above-mentioned SCO statement.”  (How they hide it as if they were not there!  They were there, but were not brave enough to say anything!)

The world is focusing on Israel / Iran. I feel myself constrained to start posting the submissions that I have for today. Let some hours go by and hopefully later in the day we can again focus on the rest of us. Bear in mind that we were supposed to be discussing, building, helping, birthing and supporting a move to a healthier multipolar world. In the War and Genocide thread a piece is posted on elections in Israel to dissolve the Knesset. The heads of the opposition factions decided to put the Knesset Dissolution Law to a vote in the Knesset plenum today. The objective is to overthrow the government.

Major Pressure on the Alliance of Sahel States (a clip from RT): Burkina Faso’s interim president, Captain Ibrahim Traore has accused foreign powers of attempting to sabotage the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) by pressuring member countries to betray the others.

LONDON, June 10 (Xinhua) — China and the United States have over the past two days conducted professional, rational, in-depth and candid exchanges, said a senior Chinese official on Tuesday.  Li Chenggang, China international trade representative with the Ministry of Commerce and vice minister of commerce, made the remarks when briefing the press following the first meeting of the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism held in London.  The two sides have agreed in principle the framework for implementing consensus between the two heads of state during their phone talks on June 5, as well as those reached at Geneva talks, Li said.

It is hoped that progress made at the London meeting will be conducive to strengthening trust between China and the United States, and to further promoting the steady and healthy development of economic and trade ties between the two countries, he said, adding that the meeting also adds positive energy to global economic growth.

There are three main areas of conflict: 1)Broad and across the world: economic piracy, 2)Proxy Ukraine, a reason for a wider war, 3)the livestreamed genocide, and industrial-scale killing of Palestinians in the occupied territories in a naked attempt to make Israel the regional leader (Syria, Lebanon, Iran).  Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries also tender strongly for this regional leader position.  This tinderbox has a significant potential to explode very soon.  The wars in Africa will be dealt with by the Africans. Traoré stands head and shoulders as the new African Leader and is developing a near-complete following across the continent with a new message.  I trust that in Africa, more Traorés will stand up.

Last night, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out a group strike by high-precision weapons and strike drones at the Ukrainian aviation, missile, armoured and shipbuilding industry enterprises in Kiev, command and control posts and locations of the AFU, clusters of weapons and military hardware of the Ukrainian formations as well as infrastructure of military airfields, ammunition and fuel depots.

✅ The goal of the strike was achieved. All the assigned targets were engaged.

Russia appears to be focusing on completing tasks to ultimately achieve its original objectives for the SMO (Special Military Operation), having shifted its methodology and strategy to CTO (Counter-Terrorism Operation).  We are watching the Russian endgame.

In the background, Russia continues to do business.  St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEFF) is starting on June 18–21.  If you take a scroll through the Roscongress site, you may be amazed at the international conversations conducive to business taking place.

Iran, through espionage, gathered a significant package of information on Israel’s nuclear facilities and connivance with the Axis of Evil.  The Iranian commentary over just the past day shows that it feels it is in a leading position.  Time will tell, but this is also a tinderbox.  The US and Israel may now decide to attack in order to attempt to neutralize what indeed is a considerable threat to Israel’s attempt to control the region, with valid rumors of nukes:  Erez Israel.  If we assume Iran’s information is as explosive as what the leaders indicate, an attack now will be the death of Israel.  The US will likely employ plausible deniability in some way or another, as its military capabilities are waning.  Iran announced that some of the information will be made public, and other parts will be shared with friendly partners.  Up to now, I felt that there would not be an attack on Iran, yet now the situation has turned binary:  it is do or die for the empire.  They could stretch out ‘negotiations’ for ever and a day, but it would be a visible game of playing circus.

US-China trade talks to resume for a second day

Top US and Chinese officials will resume trade talks for a second day in London on Tuesday, hoping to secure a breakthrough over export controls for goods such as rare earths that have threatened a global supply chain shock and slower economic growth.

The talks come at a crucial time for both economies, with customs data showing that China’s exports to the US plunged 34.5% in May, the sharpest drop since February 2020, when the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic upended global trade.

The two sides met at the ornate Lancaster House in the British capital on Monday to discuss disagreements around the previously made deal, and are due to resume talks early on Tuesday before both sides are expected to issue updates.

I expect that this will be either putting lipstick on a pig or putting a sticky plaster on a heart attack.  We will see.  Both sides will try to look good, but China is not working for itself only.  It is working for the world.  These negotiations will depend on how much China decides to help the US.  Please take a look at the quote from Wang Wen one more time: “Countering U.S. Hegemony Remains a Priority”

Totally besides the serious topics here, but still serious.  A note just in from Thorston Pattberg from his Substack.  I’ve long suspected that Substack will do what others of this ilk do.  They make it very easy to join and accept payment for work.  Once they feel solid, they hammer down.  Thorston says, “They erased the Substack. We have to start over. Effing tyrants!”  I’ve not checked what his lament means in reality, as Thorston tends to hyperbole.  Overall, the notes on the internet are that the resistance of whatever kind is being seriously suppressed.  In terms of information sharing, the more Russia moves to its own platforms, the more difficult it becomes to share information easily, as the sharing mechanisms are not yet well-developed.  It is possible, but it takes time.  The same is true of China.   What is a good thing is that the Israeli Hasbarra is so under threat and busy now with attacking high flyers, that for the moment, we are quiet on that sector.

Increasing US Riots: Would commentators kindly comment, as I am not following the details?  I see four discussion points.  1)The first is the ongoing move to US totalitarianism, 2)Soros is being invoked as the ghost in the machine, 3)Trump is doing it himself for (supply the reason – there are many), 4)it is a party-political issue.   What seems to be real is that the Marines have been called in (Demonstrations or riots in Los Angeles, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, New York City, Tampa, and reports of anti-ICE demonstrations in Seattle, Philadelphia, Atlanta, New Orleans, and other cities).
